General Conference

This is a journey that has evolved since the Virginia Annual Conference last year in Roanoke, VA. I was elected by the Virginia Conference to be a delegate to Jurisdictional Conference and a reserve delegate to General Conference. Today was the Virginia Conferences last delegation meeting before General Conference. It has been a journey that has been a great learning experience for me in that I have expanded away from my quiet normal life in my local church and district and even the life I have had in my conference and I became part of the bigger church. Often times God calls us to do big things. In furthering my call into the ministry I knew that God had in store for me to continue to explore the Church I would be working in. General Conference has been a way for me to learn more about the church and to meet new people. We always need to be ready and waiting for God’s call. This involves lots of listening and a willingness to be like the disciples and ready to drop our nets.
